Inbox Equalizer Review

Introduction: Inbox Equalizer Review

Getting into inboxes has become a big problem. Kam Jennings has joined up with Sid Red and Jorge Viladura and released a new product called Inbox Equalizer. This is my Inbox Equalizer review

It brings together training and software to solve the two major problems in email marketing – list building and getting into the inbox. My real interest in the offer was to get access to the software as it helps with getting subject lines and content past the spam filters – i.e., getting into the inbox. This is my Inbox Equalizer Review

I made a review video where I go through my email open rate problem, an overview of what is in the funnel and how I will be using Inbox Equalizer. As always, my video includes a live walkthrough of the business challenges I have (low open rates) and worked examples of the tool in action. Check it out here

Inbox Equalizer Review: Main Features of Software

The software has two main elements. This is what I saw and think will work for me

Subject Line Generator

The subject line generator works in two ways.

  1. It will generate subject lines from keywords you enter. As long as there is a keyword match in the database it will offer up some alternates from the database and score them. The database contains email subject lines that are known to work. I would suggest they have not been split tested the way Matt Bacak subject lines have been tested – see a review of his most recent split testing product here. But they are scored against some spam filter and open rate guidelines. Each subject line has suggestions on things to change and as you change them the scoring changes. Now that is a lot more efficient than sending a test mail to a test service to see how it fares. The scores will give you instant result.
  2. You can cut and paste in your own subject lines (or just type on the fly) and run them through the scoring routine – then tweak them and apply. It is simple – the cheat sheet tells you what to work on. The training does include an approach to sending test emails to a panel for testing where they land – I liked the look of that but was not able to implement on my autoresponder for the review (complicated story – details not needed here). You could explore the idea at Gmass.Co – they have an email deliverability free service – link to it here. It is really simple – copy the 20 emails into your autoresponder as a list and test your emails to see where they land.

Content Checker

The content checker allows you to cut and paste in your email or just type it in on the fly. It then highlights all the problems that may be flagged by spam filters – like spammy words or exaggerations or over-hyped stuff or just over-used stuff. Some are obvious – free and bonus are spammy words. Now is a spammy word. Here gets flagged because it goes with click here. Now this does highlight the problem with spam filters – at one level they are quite simple. Artificial Intelligence (AI) will change that in time but it has some way to come.

The process then is to work through the flagged words and change them so the flags go away. Free becomes complimentary or fr.ee. Bonus becomes b0nus or bonuses or rewards . Guarantee becomes warranty or guarant3e. To my mind, the tool helped a lot as it told me how stupid some of the these filters are. Example: I like ending all my emails with a good luck wish – like “to your online success”, Well they do not like the word success – now I use happiness or nirvana or progress. Success has clearly become over-hyped.

I have now applied this to the last 2 out of 3 Inbox Equalizer emails I have sent. Numbers are perhaps too small to be statistically significant but I did get click rates improving 100% – they doubled.

However, there was no real change in open rates. Time will tell. The good news is that if a doubling of click rates produces two sales, my software is paid for as I paid the one time fee. All I have learned over the the years is affiliate marketing is a game of inches – double the inches feels better than not.

Training

I have not gone through all the training other than the one on email deliverability – as that is my business problem. Topics are

  • Build an email list fast (Sid Red)
  • Create autoresponder (Getresponse example) (also Sid)
  • Check deliverability (Jorge showing how Gmass.co tool works)
  • Get new leads (basics on landing page forms) (Sid)
  • The science behind email open rates (Sid)
  • Email hooks based on marketing psychology (Sid)
  • Case Studies (Sid and Jorge do one each)

Kam Jennings has added in two of his email training programs too (League of List Builders and Email Secrets)

Details of the Funnel

The funnel looks a little complicated but it is not really. – Front end plus bump (FE) plus upgrade to number of swipes and subject lines OTO1) , Add in more users if you need (OTO12) and opt for reselller rights (OTO3) and bigger affiliate commissions at the back end of the funnel (DS3).

The Front End: Inbox Equalizer Software and Training.

Front end has 3 main elements to tackle the two main problems in email marketing. First is a suite of training on email marketing basics but including stuff like email deliverability that is often glossed over. The software has two elements – one that helps with subject lines – to create them and to review your own to help you to improve open rates. The other helps with checking your content for spamminess. Front end includes 1000 DFY subject lines and 100 DFY emails in 10 niches.

Price $17 one off but going to $27/monthly.

Front End Bump: UNLOCK SWIPE FILE PLUS

Inbox Equalizer Software allows you to SAVE every Subject Line and Email you create! This will allow you to build a PERFECT SWIPE FILE right inside Inbox Equalizer. This saves you keeping your own swipe file up to date

Price: $9.97

OTO#1: Inbox Equalizer Producer Edition

Producer Edition raises the 1000 DFY subject lines to 1800 DFY subject lines and 100 DFY email swipes to 280 DFY email swipes, and from having 1 built in content fixing spinner to having FIVE! This gives you more flexibility to find what you want

Price $37.

Downsell#1: Epic Conversions Insiders Club.

This is monthly membership of Kam’s Epic Conversions Club. This includes one new IM product a month. A recent product released to the club was Newsletters on Substack PLR – see my review of that product. Grab this and run for a few months with a firm commitment to sell at least one of the monthly offers as your own product. Then pull the plug. Or just sell one new product each month or every second one.

Price $10.80 a month.

OTO#2: Inbox Equalizer Agency Edition.

The Inbox Equalizer Agency Edition allows you to add up to 10 USERS. This is PERFECT for those of you who are running a small business and have a few employees or contracted workers who you need to have access to the Inbox Equalizer software.

Price $67

Downsell#2: Inbox Equalizer Light Agency Edition.

This reduces the Agency Edition to allow 6 additional users instead of 10. This really works well for a solopreneur using a few contractors or VA’s to do their emailing

Price $37

OTO#3: Inbox Equalizer RESELLER RIGHTS PACKAGE.

It’s the chance to actually OWN the Inbox Equalizer software code and sell it as your very own product!

Price $197

Downsell#3: Max Deal Affiliate Opportunity

This downsell is a little different – it is all about promoting this product. It goes by the name of Max Deal Affiliate Opportunity. The offer is you get the right to promote the entire funnel at 100% commission for $97. Now my maths tells me that you only have to sell two partial funnels to recover the full cost and bank a few bucks. How? $17 plus $10 for the front end and bump plus $37 for the producer upsell on OTO#2 for two people = $128

Price $97

Since the JV document was put together the team decided to switch during launch to a monthly fee on the front end at $27 a month. I am not sure the Max Deal Affiliate offer applies to the ongoing payments. I am going to guess that it would only be economic to offer 50% on the monthly payments – I will tell Kam Jennings that before he cooks his goose.

Of course these affiliate opportunities only apply after launch if this product remains as an evergreen product. An example of one that did not was Newsletters on Substack PLR. As they are going to monthly, I am going to guess it will become evergreen.

Implementing Inbox Equalizer

Implementation is simple. In my review video, I progressively went through an existing autoresponder series based on which is the next email to be delivered in the series – fix the subject line and take out the spam filter triggers. I also will apply this to any series of email swipes I get from product launch JV partners. They all know their stuff that they are selling but they (mostly) know nothing about spam filters – I got double click rates by changing such an email swipe for this launch.

Same applies to the content checker – phase one is to cut and paste and fix the red flags. The alternate content spinners did not do it for me as the English landed up as rubbish. My instinct will be to stick with level 1 and fix the red flags myself.

One thing that I mentioned in the video – the tool does have a Spanish version – I cannot comment on how well that works but I do know that something like 13 percent of Americans speak Spanish = that is over 40 million people. Imagine getting into their inboxes spam free.

Inbox Equalizer Review: Lifetime Offer – Is it expensive?

Inbox Equalizer is being offered at a lifetime price during launch – $67 if you do the front end, bump and producer edition.

The challenge always with lifetime offers on software is whether the sellers will keep maintaining the software for a reasonable lifetime. I have a lot who did not. Also, Inbox Equalizer will need to be kept up to date as the email platforms are continually changing their spam filters. This needs cash investment.

Kam Jennings has been very vocal in his communications about people who sell software and then fade away – maybe those words are enough to show his commitment to keep support going. What gives me comfort is he has been running his Epic Conversions Club for a very long time. He understands the game of continuity. He has been burned on software offers. One thought: The last upsell does offer a ray of hope if he does not – a reseller might take up the torch.

More importantly he and Sid and Jorge have decided during launch to switch to a monthly charging model – this is good news as it gives them cash flow to keep the service running and to keep maintaining the tool to keep up with the email service providers.

I did a little research on alternate providers. Litmus.com offer a one user basic account at $99/month with a 7 day free trial. This is the Rolls Royce of deliverability testing

SendForensics offer a limited free test which I found not that helpful. It pushes you to upgrade without really testing the whys of delivery problems. Their basic plan for 1 user and 2 domains runs at $39/month. It does do a lot more in telling you that you have problems with your deliverability. I am not convinced it will help with dealing with spamminess – the free test does not help that much.

I use Getresponse as my email service provider. They do have a tool for checking the spam rating of emails before you send them out – truth be told, I am too busy writing and sending to do the checking. I will test the next few I send out and report as an edit to this post.

This suggests that a one time fee of $30 if you do the bump and $67 if you go Producer makes a lot of sense

My Inbox Equalizer Bonuses

I talked in the video about bonuses. Inbox Equalizer is an email marketing tool to help building lists and getting into inboxes. My bonuses are all about getting the best out of your email marketing effort. No matter what the spam filters say you still need to find the right words to build into your messages – copywriting from the frontline. You need to put in place a solid list building strategy and harness the full power of email marketing. There are a lot of things that have to be done right in your email marketing – so I have included 4 killer email checklists so you can tick off all the things needed. List building needs lead magnets – so I have included a membership that helps with that in a bunch of internet marketing and general niches. And lastly, I have included an emarketing membership which includes training to round out the more specific training offered in Inbox Equalizer – here is a summary of the bonus offer

  • Bonus #1 – Copywriting from the Frontline (Value $486)
  • Bonus #2 – List Building Expert (Value $27)
  • Bonus #3 – Email Marketing Power (Value $37)
  • Bonus #4 – 4 Killer Email Checklists (Value $68)
  • Bonus #5 – SureFireWealth Silver Membership (Value $147)
  • Bonus #6 – Emarketers Club Silver Membership (Value $97)

Summary and Conclusion

Trying Inbox Equalizer was a no brainer for me – I have really low open rates and click rates in my lists. I do not really understand the spam filters. Stuff that sounds like plain English to me is spammy – to your online success – well that is just a wish of good luck and not an invitation to kiss goodbye to a bundle of cash. Now I know how to  dress up your b0nus – hopefully it does not have a zero.

At the lifetime one off offer of $17 plus the bump, this is a steal. At $27 a month all it takes is one email a month done right to recover that. The beauty is that once you know the game, you can do it alone.

It is not enough to get into the inbox. You still need good strategy about what to say and good ways to get people to say yes please. And a few detailed checklists to make sure you cover all the bases are key. That is what $862 worth of email bonuses adds. Hit the big green button get access. Bonuses are delivered automatically
