Introduction: A Quit Smoking Analogy Managing PLR hoarding seems to be a bigger challenge than it should be. First – an analogy. I supported a Quit Smoking Facebook Group for quite some time. I developed a framework for helping people to quit smoking – it had 6Ds D – Desire D – Decide D – Deliberate D – Do D – Double D – Dream The first step to quitting any addiction is one has to have the DESIRE to decide to tackle the problem. The smart way to make DECIDE happen is to have a compelling reason (Desire) to take action. To quit smoking this could be to save money, to fix your health, to protect your family from...
Lessons in Managing Frustration The last two months since Twitter shut down my ads account has been a huge struggle. Only when I step back to write about it do I figure out it has all been about managing frustration. At nearly 63 years old, you would have thought I had this stuff figured out. My investing coach always used to say Keep doing what is working and stop doing what is not Booting Twitter Ads Twitter was giving me a strong message that something was not working. I have been following a two pronged strategy of solo ads and Twitter ads for my paid channels. The leads stopped flowing. It is time to draw on the art of managing blockages. Blockages Emerge I have a source of solo ads which delivers leads in batches every two weeks or so – so I can just let it run along in the background. Well it was doing that just fine and stopped – not sure why but no new leads since March 27 = nearly 4 weeks. I did get a generic email saying they had had some...
Managing Overwhelm That was not a great week – one which was a struggle in managing overwhelm We had a family meeting with my mentor, Dean Holland, this week. Well it did not feel like a meeting – it was more of a one way talk about 2018 and 2019. Of course it is hard to run a family meeting on a webinar platform even if you have someone fielding questions (Dean did not). I took part by watching the recording – I was in no shape to be awake at 1 am to start a webinar which ran over 1 hour long. There are some good developments coming along that will add to a more streamlined and simplified Internet...
